Bill Leedham

Group Technical Director

Bill is the joint founding partner responsible for for the engineering aspect of the business. He is an engineer with more than two decades of experience as a consultant with several practices. Because of his high level of technical capabilities, he works on extremely complex engineering projects, including the £250,000,000 cancer research facility at St James University Hospital for the University of Leeds and the nano-sciences building for the University of York. He was the project partner for the award-winning New Business School at the University of Hull, involving low-energy design and building modelling to optimise and integrate modern lightweight buildings with listed buildings. Bill is the technical champion for mechanical building services within the Group.

  • Technical excellence in laboratory and process control environments, with extensive experience in educational, industrial and pharmaceutical facilities
  • A significant focus on detailed technical design solutions and an understanding of the legislation and design guidance for laboratory and fume cupboard design
  • In-depth knowledge of BCGA guidance on specialist high- and low-risk gases, categorisation and storage requirements
  • Consideration of spatial fit and coordination of heavily serviced buildings
